Almost three million Quebecers have lung disease or one in three people. Lung disease is the second leading cause of death in the country. Smoking, exposure to second-hand smoke and pollution are the main causes.

The Quebec Lung Association is a non-profit organization working in the field of respiratory health. A member of the American Lung Association, the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, and the World Health Organization, the Lung Association has always been closely linked to the science’s constant battle against tuberculosis.
