Free Vaccination Day at the Bell Centre
Taking care of your health is essential—and vaccination is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and those around you.
In partnership with the Montreal Canadiens, the Quebec Lung Association invites you to a free vaccination day open to everyone, with a special focus on people living with lung disease.
Vaccines available:
- Influenza (flu)
- Pneumonia (pneumococcal)
- COVID-19
- RSV (respiratory syncytial virus)
- Shingles (zoster)
*Please note: pediatric patients will not be vaccinated.

Eligibility Criteria for the Influenza Vaccine
The influenza vaccine is recommended for the following groups:
- Adults aged 75 and older
- Individuals aged 6 months to 74 years with:
- Chronic heart or lung disease (including bronchopulmonary dysplasia, cystic fibrosis, and asthma)
- Chronic conditions such as diabetes, inherited metabolic disorders (e.g., hereditary tyrosinemia type I), severe obesity (BMI ≥ 40), liver disease (including cirrhosis), kidney disease, blood disorders (including asplenia, anemia, or hemoglobinopathy), cancer, immune deficiency or immunosuppression (including HIV infection)
- Medical conditions that reduce the ability to clear respiratory secretions or increase the risk of aspiration (e.g., cognitive impairment, spinal cord injury, seizure disorders, neuromuscular disorders)
- Residents of all ages in long-term care facilities (CHSLDs) and intermediate/specialized care residences (RI-SAPA)
- Children and adolescents under 18 receiving long-term treatment with acetylsalicylic acid (ASA)
- Pregnant women:
- With one of the above conditions (vaccination is recommended at any stage of pregnancy)
- In good health but in their 2nd or 3rd trimester (13 weeks or more)
- Travellers with one of the above conditions who are going to regions where influenza viruses are circulating
- Adults aged 65 to 74 years
- People who could transmit influenza to high-risk individuals, including:
- Health care workers
- Household contacts and caregivers of people at high risk of influenza complications
- People living in remote or isolated communities, with priority given to those at high risk of complications

Eligibility Criteria for the Pneumococcal Vaccine
Pneumovax 23
- Recommended for adults aged 65 and older, except those with a condition considered very high risk for invasive pneumococcal disease (IPD)
- Recommended for adults aged 18 to 64 with a condition considered high risk for IPD
Prevnar 20
Recommended for people with one of the following very high–risk conditions for IPD:- Anatomical or functional asplenia (see Practical Vaccinology: Asplenia)
- Immunosuppression (see Practical Vaccinology: Immunosuppression)
- Cirrhosis
- End-stage renal disease (including dialysis) or nephrotic syndrome
- Cochlear implant
- Chronic cerebrospinal fluid leakage
- Homelessness
- Current, regular use of hard drugs by inhalation or injection, associated with deteriorating health or precarious living conditions
Also recommended for:
- Adults aged 50 and older living in Indigenous communities of Nunavik and the Cree Territory of James Bay
- Adults aged 18 to 49 living in the same communities who also have one of the conditions listed above

Eligibility Criteria for the COVID-19 Vaccine
The COVID-19 vaccine is recommended for:
- Residents of long-term care facilities (CHSLDs), private seniors’ residences (RPAs), or other collective living environments with a high proportion of older or vulnerable individuals
- Adults aged 65 and older
- Individuals aged 6 months to 64 years who are immunocompromised, on dialysis, or living with a chronic illness
- Adults aged 18 and older living in remote or isolated communities
- Pregnant women
- Health care workers

Eligibility Criteria for the RSV Vaccine
The RSV vaccine is recommended for:
- Residents aged 60 and older living in long-term care facilities (CHSLDs) or intermediate/specialized care residences (RI-SAPA)
- Residents aged 75 and older living in private seniors’ residences (RPAs) of categories 3 or 4:
- Category 3: RPAs with personal assistance services and medication administration
- Category 4: RPAs with nursing care

Eligibility Criteria for the Shingles (Zoster) Vaccine
The shingles vaccine is recommended for:
- Immunocompromised adults aged 18 and older
- Adults aged 75 and older
